Description

In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model characterized by a sleek case, narrow indexes, and a steel bracelet. Its wide, horizontal lugs, typical of the era, were perfectly integrated into the flat, tonneau-shaped case.

A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust." The "X" represents the Roman numeral ten and the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters, to which the watch remains water-resistant.

In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of its predecessor.

The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot PRX has a diameter of 40 mm. It features a slight tonneau shape and is adorned with a slim, round bezel. The sides alternate between vertically brushed, rounded finishes and polished facets.

The Tissot PRX features a dial with nickel-plated indexes and hands. The case lines extend directly into the bracelet, without the traditional lugs. Its most striking feature is its series of large links spanning its entire width. Its flexibility and suppleness make it a true success of ergonomic design and provide an exceptional wearing comfort. The satin-finish on the outer surfaces is just as meticulously executed as the polishing on the inner surfaces.

The hands of the Tissot PRX are coated with SuperLumiNova® and are positioned very closely above one another. This allows the dial to be brought closer to the crystal. The optical effect achieved by Tissot's designers makes the watch case appear even flatter and slimmer than it actually is.

The watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a precise, reliable Swiss Made quartz movement.

This version of the Tissot PRX features a green dial with indices and a 316L stainless steel bracelet with a quick-change system and a butterfly clasp with pushers.
